The Makeup Girl-Lanay Morrison

Lanay is amazing. I booked her only a couple months before my wedding date, and we set-up a trial run that fit my schedule perfectly. She really knows how to work with your individual features and coloring. After my trial run I was a bit concerned with how the make-up looked on my skin after a couple hours. When I explained to her what was going on, she suggested that I needed to hydrate my skin more and also try another trial after using a hydration mask. She also told me to be sure not to wear any moisturizer or product on my skin before the make-up application. She sent me a free sample of a great firming and hydration mask and gave me the instructions on how to use it. I went in for another trial (she did not charge me for this 2nd trial - which was for the airbrush foundation - no eye make-up, etc.) and WOW what a difference. She really knows her stuff!! I bought some of the mask from her and used it again just before my wedding day. My make-up looked AMAZING! Lanay applied make-up on myself, my mom, and 2 of my bridesmaids. We felt like celebrities - she made us look absolutely amazing! I had to travel quite far to get to her (San Jose to Clayton), but please don't let this deter you if you aren't close to her studio. I'm seriously considering taking make-up lessons from her because she really is THAT good! I would drive even further, it's totally worth it! Book Lanay, don't hesitate, you will be very happy that you hired her!

First off, Lanay is awesome. She was a calming presence to have around the house the day of the wedding. Second off, her service is impeccable. She did my makeup and my bridesmaids, and everyone looked absolutely amazing. She does a wonderful job at making everyone look like enhanced versions of themselves. I would tell everyone i know to use her.

Lanay did an absolutely amazing job on my wedding. Her make-up choices look unusually natural and flattering. Her airbrush method provides a coverage that feels very light and photographs well. She did my make-up as well as 4 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and 1 grandmother. I received so many complements on how good our make-up looked. I couldn’t have been happier with how our make-up turned out. And everyone loved working with Lanay throughout the process. Lanay was cheerful, calm, and thoughtfully responsive throughout the whole process. She was fantastic!

Lanay was awesome! She is very professional. She was on time to my house and did make up for 6 ladies. She was very efficient. She selected the perfect colors to go with all the different ladies complexions, eyes, hair, etc. Everyone loved their make up and we all got so many compliments from the wedding guests. We all did the air brush make up, and loved it. It was so light, you didn't even feel like you were wearing makeup. I didn't need many touch ups. I only touched up some powder on my nose a couple of times through out the day. We all did false eyelashes as well. Lanay does the single lashes which I love because they feel weightless. Usually eyelashes bother me, but I couldn't even tell I was wearing them.

Lanay is one of the top make-up artists! She is fantastic! Very easy to work with and very quick to respond! Definitely will visit her again when I'm in town!!

Lanay, You were so awesome to work with. You really helped last minute with bridemaids makeup and also I really appreciate you helping me find someone to do bridemaids hair. Lanay did my makeup up for my wedding recently on August 26th, 2011. I could not have been happier with the service I got. Not only did she do mine but 7 of my bridesmaids to and then when one of my bridesaids wanted to get hers done last minute she made time to add her in also. She went out of her way to make sure I was happy and felt beautiful. All of us looked amazing when she was done and it was nice not to have to worry about a thing with her. She was on time, sweet as could be, went above and beyond expectations, and even calmed me down when I started to get nervous. I cant wait to use her again for makeup. Lanay was such a great vendor to have at my wedding, she came to my venue which was really convenient. She is extremely friendly and does a quality job. All of my bridesmaids and myself were so thrilled with the way they looked after Lanay worked her magic with her airbrush makeup. And it lasted through the night and even into the next day. Lanay fit this 52 year old bride and my 3 bridesmaids (daughters aged 26,23,and18) at the last minute in an already full day. However, she treated us as though we were her only clients that day, engaging us, relaxing us, and making us look fabulous for my special day. She arrived promptly at 7 a.m. , finished at about 9, and the makeup lasted through tears, sweat, and fun all the way to 1 a.m. I would recommend her services in a heartbeat, and she'll bw doing the makeup for my girls' weddings when the time comes!

I can't say enough for the service provided by Lanay for my wedding. I love airbrush make-up because it stays put and I don't feel the need to "freshen up" my make-up. It's well worth the cost to have a trial run because I found Lanay really listened to what I felt needed changing the day of my wedding. Her calmness is amazing...the day of my wedding she had spent her morning applying make-up for a large number at another wedding, then arrived at my house very relaxed and ready to take care of my needs...this, I feel, is very important for the bride. I would definitely recommend Lanay for your wedding day beauty. And pamper yourself with a facial prior to the wedding...just make sure to plan it! Happy wedding day!!

When planning for our wedding I didn't really take into account how my make up would fit into the day. I'm not too used to wearing make up and tend to rub it off by noon during the course of a work day. At first I thought I would do it myself, but after I tried various make up counters and bought enough products to open a beauty bar I realized I needed professional help. Lanay was very accommodating in every way! She responded quickly to my request for a trial meeting and easily adapted the pictures I brought to her as an example of how I would like to have my make-up done. The day of our wedding my make up looked awesome and held up until I took it off more than ten hours later. The best part was that it felt very light and my skin looked great. Lanay is very talented and was able to do my requested vintage look, my Mom's more subtle look, and accommodate the bride's maids requests as well. I would think any Bride would be lucky and happy to work with Lanay on her big day! I know I was.

Lanay was my choice for make-up artist. She was recommended by our photographers who witnessed her magic. Well, I was not disappointed. I have never used airbrush makeup, but Lanay made me look so beautiful on my wedding day. I can't thank her enough. Lanay is wonderful. She did my makeup, my four bride's maids' makeup and my mother's makeup for my wedding day. For me, Lanay provided a full makeup practice session so we could create the look I was imagining for my wedding. She has years of experience and was able to provide excellent advice relating to color. I was so happy with Lanay's services; I looked great and each of my bride's maids and my mother loved their makeup. I whole-heartedly endorse Lanay. Not only is she a fabulous makeup artist, but she has a great personality, which makes her a fun addition to your wedding party as everyone prepares for the big event.
