Shannie Cakes

Shannie provided the most scrumptious. The design was all Shannie. She's flexible. Stayed within our budget and really nailed the elegant design I wanted. We received lots of compliments on the look and taste of our cake.

With two weeks to go before my big day, I was in a last minute search for a groom's cake. After a few emails, I met Shannie at her Oakland location. I gave her my drawing with my ideas, had a cake tasting and we were all set to go!! The day of my groom and I were in shock at how fabulous this cake turned out!! The cake design far exceed my expectations. This was a smooth transaction. Not only was she friendly to work with, but she was very professional. Reasonable pricing and delivery!! Nothing but compliments about the cake!! Thank you for making this little detail, so fabulous!!

Early on in the wedding planning process, the wedding cake was considered to be a high priority. We originally thought we wouldn't be able to afford a cake, but thanks to a generous gift from one of our close family friends, we had the means to be able to get a professional wedding cake. I made my fiancee in charge of researching cakes and he came across Shannie Cakes from http://www.theknot.com. After comparing prices and style with bakeries in SF, we decided to have a tasting with Shannie. The cake samples she provided were out-of-this-world delicious! We loved the samples and put our complete faith in her artistic ability. I don't typically like fondant on cakes, but she assured me that her fondant would be very tasty. We had our wedding two weeks ago and the cake was fabulous! It was exactly what we wanted and more importantly it tasted delicious (even with fondant!) Overall, she was very friendly and always made us feel at ease when working with her. Our cake flavors were Mom's Chocolate Cake, Coconut Dream, and Strawberry Shortcake with fresh strawberries. Also, instead of freezing the top layer of the cake, Shannie will be giving us a small freshly-baked cake for our 1st anniversary, which was included in the total price of the wedding cake! Score!

Shannie was great to work with on our wedding cake. She was very helpful during out consultation and the cake she created was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. It also tasted delicious.

Shannie, YOU ROCK!!!! We were absolutely blown away when we saw our wedding cake :) You created something that was so very fitting for us as a couple. Not only that you were timely, reliable, reasonably priced, and it was soooooooo delicious!! We can't wait to dig into our cake topper! Shannie designed a beautiful cake for our wedding that was delicious too! I LOVE cake and that was the one area of our wedding that I wanted to go all out on. Shannie was so sweet, professional and courteous that she made the entire process easy. She and my florist (who was equally fantastic) even got together to make sure the orchids my florist used matched the color Shannie was using with the cake orchids (which were not real orchids but looked like the real deal). The colors were a perfect match - you could not tell the difference between the real or fake ones - they were that close. She truly is an artist. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience as when I started my research I really wanted a simple wedding and didn't want to deal with a lot of what was out there. I also wanted a personalized experience that I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for. So I was especially grateful to find Shannie. The free 1-year anniversary cake was an especially nice touch. I actually ordered an extra one because my husband and I couldn't decide whether we wanted red velvet or vanilla bean raspberry...yum!
