I wish the Palo Alto store stayed open. Now the only location that I know of is in Los Altos. The strawberry shortcake is the best and the staff at the Los Altos location are very friendly.

Satura Cake emailed us right before our DESTINATION wedding and told us they couldn't make our wedding cake and desserts as they were closing their company. Unprofessional and quite frankly one of the worst and irresponsible "closing companies" I've ever dealt with. I was in a business sales position for work and we had to close division so I know how to do it right. If they did this is any other place in the business world aside from Hawaii, they would totally get burned.

The staff at Satura are excellent. They specialize in the lighter and less sweet type of cakes preferred in the Asian market. Very original and unique flavors that my guests loved. They have excellent flexibility and creative ideas to add. Communication was also excellent from the moment of your first meeting to the day they deliver. Price was very reasonable for having 4 different flavors. Totally accommodating in last minute changes to decorations and setup. The green tea cake was favored amongst my family, and the mango mousse a hit with guests. I will definitely use them again for my bakery needs.

After trying several cake places around the Palo Alto area-we were very disappointed until we came to Satura Cakes. The staff was great to work with and the cake was delicious-they bake it that day so it it not frozen-they also use all natural and fresh ingredients. We actually chose carrot cake as one of our flavors and I wish we had just chosen carrot cake rather than the shortcake as well. The carrot cake was amazing. The shortcake was great too-but the carrot cake out did the other flavor. The cakes are modern in design and have a casual elegance-they do not use fondant (plus for us!) We only got to have one bite the night of the wedding-but I think we will be ordering a small carrot cake from Satura every anniversary!

If you are looking for a wedding cake, do yourself (and your guests) a favor and GET IT FROM SATURA!!!! Our cake was AMAZING!!! It was delicious, fresh, beautiful, and just simply perfect. I could not have asked for anything more. We had 2 different types of cake; Red Velvet with fresh raspberries, and (my fave) white/vanilla spongecake with mango passionfruit cream and fresh currants. AMAZING!!! Very competitive prices. My husband could live on the cake, and if I were ok with being 400 pounds, I could as well!!

We went with Satura cakes because we like light and fluffy asian cakes. The strawberry shortcake here is delish and I like that they use fresh fruit in big chunks. The cakes here are delish. I also liked their red velvet cake, it's not as heavy and rich as most red velvet cakes. The service here and responsiveness is very good, definitely stop by for a tasting!

We had 3-tier fresh-cream wedding cake that serves 90 and another sheet cake to serve the rest of guests. Red-velvet, chocolate cream on chocolate cake and strawberry short-cake were the flavors we chose from a dozen tasty flavors they have to offer. We've been on at least half-dozen of cake tastings before deciding on Satura, mainly because their cake taste delicious yet not overly rich and heavy with butter cream. It's also located around the block to our reception site, it makes it stress free when it comes to the big day. Our guests loved the cakes and we are still getting the compliments to this day! As for cost, it's not the most affordable in town, it's right around the middle. But it was well worth it, wedding cake definitely has a big impact on the overall wedding presentation. If there is one area you are willing to spend a couple of hundred dollars, Satura will not disappoint you.

Best feedback I can provide is know what you want before going into cake tasting in terms of asthetics. I wanted a simple yet delicious cake. First, the cakes at Satura are so amazing that I ate my own wedding cake for about 4 days after my wedding. They were so helpful and worked with my florist to get the look that I wanted, a white square 4 tier cake artfully covered in flowers. I got to pick 3 different flavors of cake, all equally delicious and NOT your typical fondant monstrosities that taste chewy and covered in frosting. I had the red velvet with raspberry frosting for 2 layers, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for one layer, and strawberry shortcake for the bottom layer (I am not a huge chocolate fan). Plus, when you get your cake there, you dont have to worry about saving the top and letting it get freezer burn for a year and then break it out on your anniversary. They will actually re-make one for you!!! I only wish there was one closer to where I live so that I could eat the cake on a regular basis and not have to wait another 6 months =)

If you choose to go with Satura Cakes, there are two very big benefits. The events coordinator is really understanding and she will work with your budget. The cakes, should you choose to go with some of their signature flavors versus a traditional "american" style cake are just amazing. Remember, your guests are most likely going to be full by the time dessert comes around! It is delicate cake that is not to be missed. :)

Satura Cakes was an excellent choice for our wedding cake. We had a beautiful 3 tiered cake and two additional sheet cakes with different flavors. All the cakes were beautiful. Delivery was on time, the price was reasonable, and the cakes were delicious!

I had Satura CakeÂ’s dessert at a friendÂ’s wedding and was very impressed. Satura CakesÂ’ cakes have a more delicate flavor than most cakes out there. And for a dessert bar, we felt that lighter flavor may please our guests, as they would get to sample more varieties. The dessert bar was a hit at the wedding.

Satura provided our wedding cake and our dessert bar bites. Everything was delicious and everybody raved about our sweets. My ONLY complaint is that they were LATE in delivery the goods. They were supposed to deliver at 430, but delivered an hour late, when people were trickling in and it didnt look so good!

We used Satura Cakes in downtown Palo Alto for our wedding cake and the entire experience was seamless! We had a brief meeting with a cake consultant and we showed her a photo of the kind of cake we wanted, which was modern and classy, and they said no problem. Then we just had to pick the flavors. They gave us a sampling of each flavor available for wedding cakes.. yum! Once we narrowed it down, we were done! My only minor complaint was that the color of the sugar flowers on the cake on our wedding was slightly different than what we told them, but it still looked fabulous.

We only wanted a small cake for cutting (and served sheet cake for guests), so I ordered a small round cake from satura, frosted white and smooth. The cake itself was delicious and I had a great experience with Anne, the catering manager. She was responsive and we handled the order over phone/email (and I faxed in a copy of my credit card authorization form). However, I did have a weird experience the day before the wedding. I called the Palo Alto bakery just to "confirm" that my cake order would be ready by the scheduled time the next day, however the girl who answered could not confirm my order. She asked if I had the catering manager's personal cell number, if I wanted to confirm with her. I thought that was ridiculous, and of course got very nervous about it (this being the day before the wedding!). Anne did end up calling me back shortly, and clarified to me that all cakes are baked at the main kitchen at the Los Altos branch, and that those orders are then delivered to Palo Alto on the day-of----so Palo Alto doesn't even keep track or know of what orders are coming in that day. She reassured me that my cake was ordered/confirmed, but I thought it was very strange that the gal who answered the phone originally could not/did not explain this to me. Other than this small miscommunication, everything was great and the cake was yummy!

We ordered individual cakes for our dessert buffet, and our guest loved them. The desserts have great texture, delicate flavor, and never too sweet--one of our favorite place to pick up something sweet.

We used the Los Altos store to coordinate with the Honolulu store. They were so easy to work with. It was such a weight off my shoulders when they let us do a tasting in Los Altos. To put the icing on the cake (TEHEhe) they then faxed our order to Honolulu. Now thats service! I was impressed on how easy it was.
