Yolanda was just amazing. I chose her as my hair and makeup vendor; however she did more than just my hair and makeup. She was patient and understanding of me during the process of the wedding planning. She offered advice as well as suggestions so that the bridesmaids and myself looked our best the day of. I don't think I have ever felt as beautiful as I did that day. Yolanda stayed with us through the ceremony and reception. She was very attentive and made sure that my hair, as well as the bridesmaids', was in the right place and that we had just the right look for the marathon of pictures. Yolanda is a must for your wedding day.

Yolanda did a fantastic job at my November wedding. I loved my makeup and my bridesmaids loved theirs. Yolanda has a great sense of humour. She is very flexible and professional . She did a fantastic job. She showed up 40 min before start time to set up, we were done on time and didn't feel rushed. Don't look any further girls :)

Yolanda was fabulous...and absolute dream to work with! I'm from Illinois and had my wedding in San Francisco, with many unknown vendors. Yolanda was professional, punctual, and very personable with both myself and my sister. She was very complimentary, offering many makeup tips to us as she went. She gave us additional makeup to bring along with for touch-ups at the ceremony and reception and her prices were very reasonable for the quality work she provides...I received many compliments! I feel very confident in recommending Yolanda for quality makeup and hair services...highly recommended!!

Yolanda deserves the highest praise possible. I hired Yolanda for my wedding back in May 2010, and I am so happy I did! (I think it is a little hard to believe,) but I am STILL getting compliiments for the amazing job she did. Yolanda and her daughter showed up early to my maid of honor's house on the day of, started with my bridesmaid's makeup (I wasn't there yet). She did our hair and makeup. omg my hair was amazing! I wore a family heirloom crown + veil combination, which in order to stay on my head needed some fancy hairdoo work. Yolanda did it, and my hair a) has never on this earth looked so amazing, b) stayed put throughout the ceremony! following ceremony + pictures (san francisco), my husband and I were off to the reception site in San Mateo. Where Yolanda was all set up waiting for me, with a beautiful glitzy hair comb to take the place of the heirloom crown+veil combo. Oh I would love to include photos. hehe, professionalism and flexibility, soo more like a 10.0 than a five star. :) I have to tell you, the reception place was expected to have a hidden bathroom for the hair/makeup redo, but for one reason or another the electricity was out, and so Yolanda had to set up in the common use ladies' restroom, it was a crazy little mixup, (but at the time, I didn't have a clue, because Yolanda was all set up like it was planned to be that way!) Oh it was a dream. I could go on forever, but since you are probably a bride in a hurry, I will say this, Call Yolanda with PrimaDonna Makeover as soon as you can! the more time you have before your event, the more perfect it can be. :) p.s. Yolanda was professional and really flexible when we had some wedding day time changes. There was a little confusion about the timeline, but she worked wonders and had us ready to go by the time we needed to leave for pictures. I received lots of compliments throughout the wedding day, and my bridesmaid is thinking about having Yolanda at her wedding.

Yolanda was great to work with. She comes to wherever you are getting ready. She took great care of me and my bridesmaids. She came to the ceremony and took care of touch ups for portraits. She also came to our reception site for final touching up before the reception started. Yolanda is awesome!

I came from Ohio to San Francisco to hold my wedding and needed to completely put my trust in someone I never met to do my hair and makeup and generally make it feel like a special occasion when I would be all by myself. Yolanda connected with me immediately over the phone and addressed all my concerns. She earned my trust and delivered on all her promises. I was thrilled with the results. PrimaDonnamakeover was Hire for my best friends wedding and was amazing both professional and worked wonders with all of us girls. They are on location makeup & hair services which was great. Quite expensive, but did a decent job of making my wife look great.

Wow, is all I can say about how bad my experience with Yolanda was. I did a trial with her before my wedding and I was so disappointed. She was shockingly bad. Not just as a hair and makeup technician but as a business owner working with a customer. It was such a bad experience for me that I feel I owe other brides the service of sharing this. First, my hair. It looked as if someone had teased it into a nest and had purposely done everything possible to make it look just plain ugly. The amount of pins in there was unfathomable considering how little she did in terms of styling it. My fiance was dumbfounded when he saw it and told me that a child could do a better job. I do not have particularly challenging hair, and afterward I played with it myself and it looked a million times better. I would be happy to share comparison photos, just message me. The makeup was also off. I have a light olive-toned complexion and she made me look ghostly. She also used orange lipstick on me after I very clearly requested a subtle shade of pink gloss. She also had me apply my own mascara and lectured me when I told her I don't wear foundation every day. I'm a law student, there is no need to do myself up for an 8am class, I think a little eyeliner and lip gloss is enough? Aside from the professional errors, her personality was off-putting. She was arrogant, patronizing and all around condescending. She even made a comment about my apartment building being unsightly. So rude. I have never been treated by a vendor like this in my whole life. She was pushy about the deposit and tried to get me to sign a contract immediately, even after I said I wanted to show my fiance first. Soooo glad I did because the next person I did a trial with was absolutely wonderful. The only good things I can say about Prima Donna was that Yolanda was responsive to emails and flexible about doing hair and makeup for me and my bridal party on location. Other than that I can't say anything good about the experience. I normally don't leave reviews like this but I felt like I just had to in this case.
