This review is about Justin's associate package. Since we had limited budget but really like Justin's work, we had a long debate about whether to hire him or not. After we expressed our concerns, Justin suggested the alternatives of his associate packages. The sample of his associate's work is pretty good too, so we decided to hire his associate videographer with 1 camera package for our wedding. I have no complains about Justin's services before and during the wedding. He is really responsive and friendly to our questions. His associate Edward is also very professional too. Everything is fine until I receive the DVD, marked as "demo reel", 6 months after the wedding. We sat in front of the TV and couldn't wait to see the treasure moments. The image quality is good (we chose HD), and the videographer does a good job to catch the important moments. However it bothers me that during the weddingceremony, the view sometimes switch to the outside view of the church. For example, while I repeated the vow and mention my husband's name, the image shows up as a palm tree. This happens so many times during the ceremony so that I sent him a friendly message and asked him if it is possible to remove those scenes. Justin explained this is due to 1 camera coverage. The reason why switching to the outside view of the church is to cover any camera movements made by the shooter. That's why he always recommended 2 cameras coverage. I hope he could have told me this beforehand. Okay, fine, it's too late, I can take the motion, just don't want those inserted scenes. This is the part which upset me: he said "We are happy to make theadditional edits for you. The additional cost for this service is atthe discounted rate of $150/edit hour. I estimate that the editchanges will take between 1-2 hours." Com'on, we waited for 6 months for this, among the time we sent him email asked the progress, but never got a chance to express our opinion about the product. Also what he sent to us is marked as "demo reel", I thought we were able to make the change on the demo? He explained this is final product and mentioned "nearly all of our clients love their final cut", sounds as if I am a picky customer. After all, I am pretty upset but just have to take it and move on. To be fair, Justin and his associates are professional videographers. I would recommend him to the ones who are willingly to spend a fortune on your wedding video because every little thing you ask for has a price at Justin Fone Productions. Update on Mar 22: Justin contacted me about my complaints and apologized for the miscommunications we might have. Basically THE ASSOCIATE PACKAGE DOES NOT INCLUDE THE REVISED EDITTING FEE. However since he didn't make it clear to us, he did the complementary edit for us anyway. I just received the new version of DVD today and it is exactly the way we want. I really love it! Since Justin shows he cares about how I feel and made things right, I raise my review from 4 to 4.8.

Justin Fone is an amazing visual artist. I have had the opportunity to see him in action on several occasions, and the finished piece of work always blows me away. Any bride and groom seeking professional videography services should strongly consider Justin Fone. His services go above and beyond to cater to the client, and to create memories with style and creativity that I have only see him be able to do. I only recommend Justin Fone to my brides/grooms, because I only want the best for my clients. And he is the best. You should see for yourself.

Justin Fone captured our wedding on 9-19-09. Justin and his crew exceeded any expectations that we had for our video. You know you have a great videographer when you don't even know he was there! Our video is truly an amazing reflection on our day and I would recommend Justin and his work to anyone. He was a pleasure to work and very accommodating to everything! The final product is amazing!!

We did NOT want the in-your-face, "hey say a message on camera to the bride and groom!" microphone-thrust-in-your-face kind. Like, absolutely not. Thank goodness JFP people are NOT like that, hence why we hired them. My fiance/husband was really worried about videographers being overly present but these guys are such pros, he totally forgot they were there! They just blended and did an incredible job capturing every special moment. We loved how personal our video turned out, especially with the music mapped on it. Anyway, don't risk having a cheesy videographer capture your special day. You really pay for what you get in this industry! Justin was really easy to work with and totally a chill vendor (which is very refreshing when you're planning a wedding!)

Justin Fone is an exceptional videographer! Justin took a video of our wedding in August, 2009 and he exceeded our expectations. Justin was a pleasure to work with and we could not have been more pleased with the results of our video. In fact, we watch it on a regular basis and it continues to bring us joy again and again.

For our wedding we viewed the works of several other videographers and chose Justin Fone because of his eye for quality and documentary style of filming. Not to mention he's a got a great personality, is totally friendly, and is very responsive to email. We just got our wedding DVD, which was packaged nicely in it's sleek black case and photo jacket, and watched with great anticipation. From the moment the credits rolled and the music played we were taken back to our very special day. The details from pre-ceremony to the last dance played out perfectly and were synchronized to some of our favorite songs. We absolutely loved the Super 8 footage and how Justin weaved it in with the high-def coverage. (I would strongly recommend spending the extra money for 8mm coverage.) I could go on and on about how much we love our DVD and Justin's work, but instead I finish with this: All of the important details were captured, there was an artistic documentary feel, and we were able to re-live the highlights of our special day. Justin Fone is very talented, very professional and very easy to work with. We told him what we had in mind for our wedding day video and he over-delivered. Justin and his team were a pleasant addition to our wedding day and they did a fantastic job capturing all of our special memories. Justin Fone is the real deal. I would definitely recommend Justin to anyone in need of a professional, experienced, and fun videographer to do their wedding. We chose Justin to do our September '08 wedding because we wanted someone that was young, who we were able to relate to and vice versa, and who understood our vision and what we wanted in our wedding video. Justin is very skilled in the art of cinematography. He has that "eye" and he was able to blend the music we chose and the footage he shot to work. We are so proud of our wedding video and we show it to our family and friends when we all want to look back on our special day. We get many compliments on the video and we owe it all to Justin's hard work. Just leave the footage to Justin and he will work his magic. Very responsive and involved in the whole planning process. He's not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommend to document your special day.

the quality of work is top knotch. keep in mind you will have to pay for extras on top of the base price such as high def, super 8,and other features. our movie was awesome though. he knows his stuff. great eye!!! very very very nice guy. i feel like i've known him for years! customer service was excellent. voted best videographer in the entire SF Bay Area in '08 by the San Francisco Chronicle. THE best in my book.

My husband and I almost didn't hire a videographer at all for our September 2008 wedding. After searching the web for a videographer and watching one cheesy wedding video after another (think lots of slow-mo, random fade effects), I was ready to give up and just go with still photography. Then I came across Justin's videos and was completely smitten; I remember even tearing up a little watching other couples' videos. Justin's wedding videos are fresh and have heart--they capture the unique flow and feeling of each wedding day and avoid the cookie-cutter syndrome that affects many videographers' work. We were even more impressed after our first meeting with Justin - he is personable, professional, and responsive. We felt an instant connection and knew from the get-go that we were in kind and capable hands. Despite the fact that Justin was a little out of budget, we knew that no one else could measure up and so happily booked him. Not only were we immensely pleased with our own wedding video (much to my husband's chagrin, I still watch it from time to time), but we have seen Justin continue to produce beautiful videos--he also filmed my colleague's wedding a year later, and again I found myself totally engrossed by another couple's wedding video. I recommend Justin without reservation.

We got married in May 2008, and were lucky enough to have Justin Fone as our videographer. He did an incredible job throughout the entire process. From meeting with us and talking about the details and what we wanted, to pre and post production work. The video was simply amazing. It looked like something a big studio would produce; professional and timeless. Everything we could have wanted was included in the final video. All the major guests were included. His integration of the songs we selected were perfect. He produced a final DVD just as we would have wanted. I would recommend him to anyone, because his work stands out and has impressed everyone that has viewed. I would select him again without any hesitation. As an extra bonus, he is a good down to earth guy. (No cheese.)

We chose Justin after viewing his demo DVD he sent us in the mail. After viewing his style of work from his previous clients, we set up a meeting and immediately liked his personality. We book him right away. The wedding has come and gone and we picked up our final product.  We viewed the video in his studio and couldn't be happier.  The video came out SUPERB.  We would recommend him to anyone looking for a videographer.

Justin did an amazing job with our wedding video. He was very professional and very easy to work with. What I loved most was the quality of the video produced . I would highly recommend Justin to anyone, not just for wedding videography but for any memory you would like to capture. Justin is able to help you visualize your memories, so you can relive them time and time again. Prices were great and his options were very creative. I would recommend the 8 mm style myself. Overall, it was great working with Justin.

Justin was recommended to us by two other vendors from our wedding. So we thought this guy must be really good, lets check him out. AND HE WAS REALLY GOOD! He was exceptionally wonderful. No going wrong by booking Justin.

we found justin through our wedding planner and we are glad that we decided to go with a videographer and it was justin. to be honest i dont really remember him that night that much since there were millions of things to concentrate on but justin was able to capture our nights. and this is good since you dont want the camera to be right in front of your face during your night. justin was very respectful of your space and as well as the guests and he worked well with our photographer (they dont know of one another prior). i would recommend him to my family and friends without any hesitation. yeah.

Justin Fone is fabulous... I wasn't initially sure that I wanted a wedding video (many I had seen where cheesy and not very professional) but my Mom persisted. I'm so very happy she did! It's such a great way to relive the day -- it's amazing how many details are quickly forgotten but with a video it's captured forever. I was planning my wedding from Chicago so I didn't even have the opportunity to meet with Justin beforehand but it wasn't at all an issue. We talked via email and the phone and the end product is perfect. Beautiful and fun... Justin really captured the overall vibe of the day (and edited it perfectly)! From the first moment that I met Justin, I knew that I wanted to work with him for my wedding.  He clearly has so much enthusiasm for his craft - you won't get a cookie-cutter video from a wedding video "factory", you'll get a piece of art and workmanship.  I was instantly comfortable with the concept of putting this very important piece of my wedding in his hands.  And I wasn't wrong.  The difference between his work and the other videographers I met with couldn't be more clear.  I really think it's the fact that he takes such pride with his work.  And, the icing on the cake is that Justin is a genuinely nice guy that was a lot of fun on the wedding day... We used Justin Fone for our May wedding in Sonoma. From the minute we met him, he struck us as someone who stood above other videographers we had interviewed.
