I couldn't be happier choosing BIG FUN DJs for our wedding. They were hands down the most professional DJ that I contacted and always answered my questions promptly and completely. We worked with Paul Birchfield and he was able to travel to my venue and meet with us there ahead of time. He was so friendly and fun and very organized that we knew we were in good hands. Over the course of planning he was extremely helpful, checking in with us to see if we needed any assistance. He was great because we were running a bit behind with our music choices and gave him some of our decision the week before and he incorporated them instantly. He also modified the tempo of a song we wanted for our first dance and edited it to remove an instrumental that we didn't care for. He was also able to record the audio of our ceremony. BIG FUN was able to provide all the equipment needed that day as well as lights for dancing. We had guests on the dance floor all night! BIG FUN is not the cheapest DJ option but also not the most expensive. I feel the DJ is a critical part of your wedding experience and BIG FUN is worth every penny for the service and amazing job that they do.

My DOC recommended using Paul, we met with him at a bridal fair and really connected with him. We set up a meeting about a week before the wedding to go over final details. We gave him a list of our favorite artists, types of music, our "must play" and "do not play" list and left everything else up to him. Paul did our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music and we couldn't have chosen a better DJ. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone was raving about him. He is very knowledgeable and extemely helpful! I would definately recommend Big Fun and would book with Paul again!!!

Our planner, Emily de Ayora of Downey Street Events in San Francisco, recommended Big Fun, and we were very happy with them and our DJ, Liz Mier. We were planning a destination wedding in Mendocino County from LA, so we went a bit on faith in Emily, and we were right to trust her. Big Fun and Liz were great. Super professional and great equipment, especially the lighting. Liz had two consultations with us to talk about what we wanted in terms of planning specific songs and talking about what music we liked and didn't like, so we felt confident going into the big day. We would highly recommend Big Fun and Liz Mier.

I remembered Big Fun from my Stanford days and decided to find out more about their DJ services. We had our wedding ceremony on the beach and needed a wireless sound system. During my initial conversation I could tell that they knew all the issues that could occur and eased all my concerns. I was not disappointed! The music of our choice was played during the ceremony, everyone could hear it! Also, they mic'd the groom, so folks could hear what we were saying and felt more involved. As for the reception, FANTASTIC! I had always envisioned a big dance party at my wedding and it totally came true. Everyone had such a blast and Henry continously played music that kept folks on the dance floor!

Big Fun DJ's are the best! Be sure to hire a professional DJ for your reception, they have an important job. MC'ing the night, as well as playing the right music at the right time, and keeping the party rockin!

FABULOUS!! the DJ is the one who sets the tone of the wedding and ceremony and guides the time line. WOODY was great!! He walked us through the process so easily. He gave us a 21 page song list, set up a great timeline and gave us advice when needed. He was immediate with his e-mails and call backs. Our guests enjoyed the wonderful music and had the best time EVER dancing to all the fun and appropriate music. He is the nicest and most enjoyable guy to work with. He was enthusiastic about the song choices and gave his input when needed. He was very familiar with our venue and showed us things that have worked in the past and helped us tremendously. We were very confident that he was going to guide the event wonderfully. The pricing was awesome!! His services were worth more than he charged!! GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

Henry Kim, the owner, is the best! The music was fabulous, he is so responsive it is amazing. He will often email at 4 am!! He was so professional, and knew exactly what to do to get people up on the dance floor, and people of all ages were dancing. He was great at helping us coordinate the timeline as well, and basically acted as our wedding coordinator since we didn't have one. Best value ever, can't say enough good stuff about him.

Big Fun did an amazing job DJing and MCing at our wedding. Woody Miraglia truly brought life to the party. He was able to adapt and read the crowd with his music selections. He referenced our playlist throughout the event making sure he also played to our wishes. His music choices were a perfect fit. Several guests asked if they could "purchase" our "wedding soundtrack!" Woody was flexible with the schedule. When the groom and I wanted to spend a bit more time greeting guests, he was accommodating and agreed to push back the first dance so we could fit this in.Woody met with the groom and I one month before our wedding and we literally went over all of the details from start to finish. We thoroughly discussed the ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and dancing timeline. Woody was so knowledgeable. He knew how long to estimate for dinner, the first dances, the cake cutting, and his calculations were pretty much right on. During the meeting, we chatted about our music preferences in depth and went over our "wish list." We were also able to customize a playlist for our ceremony as well as a few "must plays" for our reception. After we met, Woody put together a complete wedding schedule for us and emailed it over right away. He was very responsive and efficient!Woody went above and beyond his call of duty. He worked with us on announcing when our shuttles were scheduled to leave (which changed mid event). He brought extra materials and lit our feature car, on display, with flood lights ... this really made it pop as it got dark. (To clarify, we displayed the groom's restored 1965 Ford Falcon at our wedding.) We had a problem with our tent lights where one of the strands fill apart and we lost power for a good few hours (before the event and during ceremony and cocktail). When the final minutes came about (leading up to our entrance) and our lighting vendor was stuck in traffic on his way to us, Woody took the initiative and worked on fixing the lights. He and the groom's cousin were able to get them working again (and for this, we are forever grateful). Woody was so calm and positive throughout the whole situation.We give Big Fun two thumbs up for an excellent job done. They were wonderful in every aspect from start to finish. And … they are not “tacky” (like some other wedding DJ’s/MC’s) but very professional and cool. Henry DJ'ed and MC'ed our wedding back in April. He did a fantastic job in both areas. We choose him after reading numerous reviews and we have no regrets what so ever. We met only once before the wedding but he was able to create a playlist that best captured our music style. He really knows his music and exactly what we would like.Henry was very prompt on the wedding day and was able to set up 3 sound systems (one for the outdoor ceremony, cocktails in the courtyard and indoor reception) before the start of the ceremony. His timing for each announcement was perfect and he was able to compensate the wireless mics when a loud helicopter flew over our ceremony.The best part is that there is no stress when working with Henry. He's very easy going and very professional. Big Fun didn't bill us till after the wedding which is very rare with any vendor. I'd definitely recommend him and Big Fun to anyone.

Stefano was perfect and made sure that everyone was having a good time all night long. We just let him know what feel we wanted and let him run with it. Couldn't have asked for a better DJ.

I was very excited when I met with my dj and talked to everyone else. however, the night of the wedding, there were many music mistakes that really bummed me out.

Big Fun DJs was recommended to me and it was one of the best recommendations I received! They were so organized and helpful. As soon as I booked with them, they sent me a master play list. My fiance and I used this to get and idea of the songs we loved and the ones we didn't want played. A few weeks before the wedding, our DJ called us to help us pick our key songs. He offered to customized shorter versions of songs if we chose. He also gave us ideas and suggestions of how the music could flow, but ultimately left the decision up to us. Paul was so friendly and you could tell he genuinely cared about helping make our wedding exactly the way we wanted it. The music was perfect and all of our guests were on the dance floor all night - he really is an expert at what he does. He never played our "Do not play" list and played all the songs on our "Must Play" list. My only regret is that we couldn't bring Paul to the after party bar to keep the great music going.Big Fun DJs is extremely easy to work with - even the payment. It is not due until 30 days after the wedding, making it easier to spread out costs which we really appreciated. The value we received from Big Fun DJs was amazing! Definitely worth every penny. I will be recommending Big Fun DJs to everyone who asks me.

Love these guys. Woody you are the absolute best. Music was so important to us and you delivered above and beyond. Every song we wanted and more. Thank you for going that extra mile to find a traditional Irish song for us when at 1am in the morning we decided it would be a great idea to get my brother to do some Riverdance for us!! As a wedding photographer I hear wedding DJ's weekly and when my brides ask me to recommend a DJ, your company is the only name you'll ever hear me say - Thank you for everything.

My husband and I LOVED our DJ Woody and way he put together all the music for our wedding. Seriously Woody and Big Fun Disc Jockeys went above and beyond our expectations. We had very very specific requests and Woody was nice enough to edit all the songs so that certain parts played. Woody gave excellent suggestions regarding songs and totally just ran with what we wanted. I mean I had instrumental songs, hip hop, old school rock, and classics all just thrown together and somehow he made it work. I got so many compliments about the DJ and the songs. They gave us wireless microphones so that all our guests could hear our officiant and our vows perfectly. I'm Cantonese Chinese and we had family in from Canada and Hong Kong so we asked for a bilingual fluent Cantonese speaking emcee. Carina served as our bilingual emcee and she did a great job. She even went through the trouble of introducing the wedding party at the reception in English and Cantonese. She was completely professional, very fluent, and kept our guests entertained. I really had a doozy of a wedding....my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all in different parts of the Asian Art Museum in SF and Woody provided sound at each part even though he had to keep moving. I was even able to signal Woody when I needed something. Woody and Carina really paid attention and played songs and said things on the mike that catered to the crowd. It must have been difficult for Carina to transition between English and Cantonese but she did it seemlessly. Woody even had us make a list of songs we wanted played during the dancing and a list of blacklisted dance songs and he followed our instructions to a tee. The dance floor was full the whole time! I really highly recommend Big Fun Disc Jockeys. Woody and Carina are awesome. They are just great at what they do, extremely professional, have engaging personalities, and really care about making sure that you and your guests have a blast. I really think my wedding day was awesome in large part because we made the right choice in hiring the right DJ and emcee. This really helped to make my wedding and I couldn't be happier! I was referred to Big Fun DJ by my friend who highly recommened them. She is a planner and uses them for ALL her brides... due to timing, I didn't get a chance to meet a rep from the company but decided to book with them anyway. I would never recommend to do what I did (which was book a DJ without meeting them) but in my case, I was lucky! We had Raymond DJ our wedding and he was great! He came all the way out to meet us for our initial meeting and made everything so easy! He was so helpful and seemed to know exactly what we were asking for. If you do not have a planner, he will make it easy to follow a timeline and make sure everything is running smoothly. There were no hiccups during the wedding and we enjoyed the music! He even asked me if it was ok to play a song that my guest requested because it was not my song list! That was really impressive that he wanted to make sure my husband and I were ok with it.

Woody was great, friendly, detailed oriented. Worked with us well, and assessed the crowd perfectly (so he played music based on their reaction). He also kept some surprises a secret. Woody was a class and has killer music knowledge.

If you are looking for a DJ that is extremely professional and competent, look no further. We hired them for our reception and could not be happier with the service they provided. We worked with Henry and found him to be so knowledgeable about receptions! When we met with him and asked him advice about the ordering of reception events, he gave us his expert opinion to ensure that our guests would be entertained the whole time. Let's start with - payment AFTER the event (that's a pretty strong guarantee).Our wedding was DJ'd by Woody, and we are sincerely thankful to him for being the best wedding DJ (and by DJ we mean professional, entertainer, coordinator, and helper) that we could have possibly asked for. BIG FUN DJs do it right in the way they put together their team. Anyone can learn to play music, but few DJs know how to bring the full experience (especially for a production like a wedding).From the very first first time my wife and I sat down with Woody we were impressed. He had an agenda, suggestions to our ideas, offered to cut and mix several songs we wanted to use after realizing we didn't have someone to help us with it, without the "but there will be a charge for that", and delivered a typed, detailed time line and mixed/cut songs by the next day (and this man has a different full time job).Over the next 4 weeks we were in constant email communication going over details regarding various activities during our ceremony and reception, and received responses within 12 hours (at most 24). Through the process Woody was more of an adviser rather than just an "okay, sounds good" guy. He suggested what may work better for some of our ideas, came up with fun ideas of his own, and corresponded with me up until 7 hours before game time.Woody's best work showed during the reception and ceremony. He took control during the chaos which was family wedding photos (it was not something we had initially discussed, but he realized the mass confusion and jumped right in), he provided his laptop when mine died during the middle of the slide show, had every possible audio connector on hand, he had extra equipment with him which we ended up renting on the spot as we found out we needed it, and most importantly, our ceremony and reception was a theatrical production and Woody always managed to stay in the background, never taking the spotlight.Last, Woody understandings how the right timing can turn a moment from "nice or that was cool" to "wow, that was an unexpected surprise". He works well with chaos, confusion, and can make last minute audibles without breaking a sweat. Except for the few times I needed to tell Woody about an audible I was calling, I never once thought about him - he just did everything right.--------------------------------------------------------------------Woody, you are the consummate professional. BIG FUN Djs were awesome!! They were EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE and sent the most informative emails! They also made working with them very easy!! At my initial meeting with our DJ Stefano, we were able to share our ideas for music and plan some playlist ideas. On the wedding day were supposed to have ceremony muscians play for us, who at the very last minute chose not to, due to heat. As disappointing as this was for us, Stefano stepped right in and saved the day! He worked hard to organize our ceremony music at the last minute and our guests never knew of the snafu only 10 minutes before our ceremony! A BIG thank you to the entire team! We were thrilled!

After the DJ we originally booked for our wedding cancelled on us (and refused to give all our deposit back) we were pretty nervous about booking another DJ.Then I came across the reviews on Big Fun. Everyone was raving about them, so I decided to send an email. I got a prompt response from Henry Kim, who actually payed our way to interview them at a local Bridal Fair! This way, he said, we could also enjoy the free cake samples. :) The fair was a lot of fun, and we met PAUL BURCHFIELD from Big Fun, and interviewed him a bit to see if he had what it took. We hit it off right from the start! After prior iffy meetings with other DJ companies and even one at the fair, we were hooked in the first 5 minutes! Paul completely understood everything we were looking for. We booked him right away for both our ceremony and reception.He was willing to visit us near our home for every meeting, kept in touch with multiple emails and even took a last minute detour from his day to stop by and grab the DVD slide-show we made.The day of our wedding was amazing. Paul was fantastic! Everyone kept coming up to us saying how great he was and mentioning the perfect voice he had when he made announcements. The dance floor was always filled, he let us completely customise the music to us, he payed close attention to any play/do not play list we provided - and bought the songs he didn't already have!Really, I cannot say enough good about Paul. If you are a bride (or groom) who is completely nervous about trusting a vendor this important for your wedding, you have found the right company. There's no need to interview elsewhere! I am so grateful to everything they did for us.Plus you pay after! How can you beat that? Ok, enough with the mush. 10 stars. We definitely recommend them. :)
